About WMRLS

The Western Massachusetts Regional Library System (WMRLS), a State-supported collaborative, provides leadership and services to foster cooperation, communication, and sharing among member libraries of all types. The Region assists member libraries in promoting equitable access to excellent services that contribute to a literate, enriched, and productive community.

Membership in WMRLS is open to any library within western Massachusetts that meets the basic requirements set by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC). There is no charge for membership.  For further information about membership, or for a paper membership packet, contact the WMRLS Business Office.

WMRLS is governed by a Council of Members representing the Region's member libraries. The annual operating budget and Plan of Service are approved by the Council of Members and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
